POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Coordinator – STAR Distribution Center, Clinton, NC

FUNCTION: Performs general maintenance on Star Communications facilities consisting of basic plumbing, electrical and overall general maintenance; assisting in the distribution of products by being knowledgeable of the inventory system and serialized equipment process.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must have basic skills in operating computers and other office equipment. Previous knowledge and experience in warehousing, forklift operation, and inventory control is recommended but not required. Must have six to twelve months experience with plumbing and electrical skills necessary to unclog pipes and plumbing, diagnose electrical wiring and breaker problems and provide solutions or refer problems to licensed professionals for resolution. Employee must observe safety practices appropriate to the type of equipment operated.

• Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and other necessary repairs to all Star Communications facilities as required.
• Perform periodic checks and minor repairs to company vehicles.
• Service and maintain main office, warehouse, and district office generators as well as all portable plant generators.
• Assist in the warehouse in moving stock, loading, and unloading. Assist other employees in work that may require more than one person to perform. Being knowledgeable of Inventory and the Inventory System as well as serialized equipment process. To be able to assist in the distribution of products when needed.
• Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and other repairs to Star Offices.
• Assist with maintenance and inspection of company standby generators.
• Assist warehouse manager with installation of company vehicle striping and decals.
• Oversee the proper dispersal of portable standby generators, emergency lights and items related to the security of said generators (chains, locks, s. n. log, etc.). Also assist in the dispersal of all work-related supplies and equipment used during the aftermath of catastrophic events such as storms, fire, traffic accidents, major cable cuts and equipment failures and floods.
• Provide new vehicles with proper bin storage and safety equipment and assist with the installation of bins. Stock new vehicles (vans, trucks) with maintenance supplies for everyday use.
